 Our Accreditation

	The University of Management and Technology is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education and Training Council (DETC), which is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency for distance learning schools. As such, our programs and administrative policies are frequently reviewed to ensure that we continue to meet the DETC's exacting standards of excellence.
	As an accredited, degree-granting member of the DETC, the University of Management and Technology is an institutional member of Council for Higher Education Accreditation (www.chea.org). CHEA is a private, nonprofit national organization that coordinates accreditation activities in the United States. CHEA is largest institutional higher education membership organization in the United States with approximately 3,000 accredited colleges and universities and more than 60 participating national, regional, and specialized accrediting organizations.
	The University of Management and Technology is listed as a worldwide recognized institutions in IAU Database in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO, www.unesco.org) The database includes information available on the higher education systems of some 180 countries and territories worldwide. 	UMT earned Specialized and Professional Accreditation for its Project Management degrees by the Global Accreditation Center (GAC) for the Project Management Institute® (PMI). 	The University of Management and Technology is a Global Registered Education Provider of Project Management Institute PMI ( www.pmi.org). With over 200,000 members worldwide, the PMI is the leading nonprofit professional association in the area of Project Management. Bill Program provides education benefits for eligible military personnel, both veterans and active duty personnel.
